Gwent College of Nursing & Midwifery Newport,silver Midwifery Education Badge

A very nice silver and enamel badge for the Gwent College of Nursing & Midwifery based at Newport Wales in the 1980s.The design features a initial letter G with a rod of Asclepius to its centre ,this being voided.Gwent College of Nursing appears around the edge with a scroll below denoting the speciality of training. This one is for Midwifery Education but variants also exist for Post Basic/General Nursing/Learning Disabilities and Mental Health disciplines.Very good condition with no enamel Damage.Pin clasp and safety roller catch are all good.Makers mark for Fattorini Birmingham .Silve hallmarks are indistinct but appear to be TF Birmingham 1989.Height 33mm
