The rear on the bronze bears the members name Ellen Dickinson and number 2298.This lady is recorded in the RBNA Directory as being registered 7 March 1890,Her qualifications are shown as a Certificate Addenbrooks Hospital 1884/85,Sir Patrick Dun's 1885/86, Bury Dispensing Hospital Night Superintendant 1888/89, West London Mission
The RBNA was the main body organising the fight for state registration of Nurses,led by Ethel Bedford Fenwick. These early membership badges were the voluntary precursor of the Later General Nursing Council Badges.Height 45mm
