A rare silver and enamel nurses prize badge for the North Staffs Royal Infirmary.This is rather different from the standard badge in blue enamel as this one is on a red enamel base.It features the hospital buildings ,in relief and the ornate spreader bar bears the motto Deo Juvante-With God's Help.Good overall condition with pin and clasp intact.Engraved for Annie Augusta Davies 2nd Place House Examination June 1938.Silver hall marks for HP&S Birmingham 1938.Height 42mm
