Awarded to Nursing Staff who undertook Tuberculosis Nursing Training,this pattern of badge was issued between 1952 and 1968 by the British Tuberculosis Association.Featuring the Lion of the UK and Cross of Lorraine,the symbol of the Crusade against TB,and the Rod of Asclepius.Pin and clasp to Suspension bar intact.Makers mark F&S B'Ham for Fattorini & Sons.This Badge is engraved for Hilda Bray 1951. This may be Hilda bray who is Shown in the General Nursing Council Register as having qualified as an SRN in 1954 at Harefield Hospital, which had originally been a Tuberculosis Hospital,before it specialised in Cardio Thoracic medicine.
