Royal Victoria Hospital Folkestone, Nurses Badge

A scarce early nurses badge for the Royal Victoria Hospital Folkestone.The small pendant badge was originally suspended from a brass safety pin type fixing but this is missing It takes the form of a blue enamelled shield with a crown, bearing RVHF .Named to the rear for Nurse JEB Crick 1927-1930. This appears to be Jessie Emmeline Back Crick, who is recorded in the Members roll of the College of Nursing as having qualified from the RVH in 1930.
