A rare silver and enamel fob medal for the Lothians Mine Workers Ambulance League. It appears to be awarded for a First Aid Competition amongst the Colliery Ambulance teams and depicts a stretcher team and casualty in front of Mine workings. Adorned with thistles with a heavy suspension ring , the rear is engraved for Niddrie Colliery 1920 Walter Kerr. (Niddrie colliery was on the outskirts of Edinburgh ,scene of a mining disaster in 1884 it closed prior to Nationalisation in 1947.)
