West Suffolk General Hospital/GNC pair of Nursing badges

A pair of badges awarded to the same nurse for her training in the 1950s.
The first is a chrome and enamel General Nursing Council For England & Wales badge, named for L M Salmons SRN 190441 1.4.52 (This is Lilian May Salmons who is shown as having trained at the West Suffolk Hospital General Hospital Bury St Edmunds )
The next item is a silver and enamel badge for the West Suffolk General Hospital, based at Bury St Edmund Suffolk.
This features the 3 crowns each pierced with two arrows of the towns crest,these commemorating the martyrdom of St Edmund being shot with arrows.The badge is in excellent condition with no damage to the enamel.Pin and clasp are intact.Badge is hallmarked for Thomas Fattorini Limited ,Birmingham 1951
