An interesting large and very heavy cast metal plaque mounted on a wooden board. It depicts the profile of a nurse wearing a veil and uniform,probably around thre period of the First World War. Nightingale School of Nursing St Thomas's Hospital,Silver Nurses Badge
Another slightly different silver and enamel nurses badge from the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing of St Thomas' Hospital.This pattern is a much darker blue to the enamel than usual without the herring bone base.I believe these to be a later pattern by an as yet unidentified maker but otherwise the badge itself is completely genuine.It is also unusually unnamed .
