A silver and enamel Nurses badge from the League of St Bartholomew's Nurses .A nice heavy badge,first awarded to League members from 1900,this was the second pattern in use from the late 1930s when the word Hospital was added.In good overall condition with some minor surface scratching to the enamel,the pin and clasp are also good.Marked to the rear Toye & Co..Hallmarks for Toye & Co London 1941.  read more

An original full size silver tippet badge; This pattern of badge was in use from 1920 onwards and consists of the intertwined A's of Queen Alexandra.The roll at the base carries the motto Fortitudo Mea Deus-God is my strength.The Badge retains it's original ribbon with only minor signs of wear.Although these were generally made of Silver this one is unmarked as such.
